south pass city, louie lake, and lander

for my birthday today we got out of town, headed up to an old ghost town called South pass city, then through Atlantic city (still a working mining town), to Louie lake, down through sinks canyon and into Lander.

Mothers day 2013

We loaded up lunch and took off for a drive down around the Flaming Gorge.

 Happy monkey, he kept wanting to play in the water.

 Trying to put the lid on the pringles but still keep ahold of the one in his hand.

 Stuck the chip in his mouth to put the lid on and all was going well till he said "mom" and it fell out of his mouth lol.

 This "road" went up a hillside and ran across the ridge of hills, some great views, but steep terrain.
